Supermodel Gisele Bündchen is now expecting her first child with boyfriend, Jiu-Jutsu instructor Joaquim Valente.
The Brazilian supermodel pregnancy, who is now 44 years old, was announced Monday by PEOPLE, who cited a source allegedly close to Bündchen.
"Gisele and Joaquim are happy for this new chapter in their life and they're looking forward to creating a peaceful and loving environment for the whole family," the source told the magazine.
TMZ had also said sources close to the model confirmed her pregnancy with them, adding that she is about five or six months along. The outlet added that the couple is waiting until the birth of their baby to find out the gender.
It is unclear when Bündchen is scheduled to give birth, but the outlet said the timeline suggests it could be early next year.
What Has Bündchen Said About the Pregnancy?
The pair has yet to publicly confirm the pregnancy. But it was noted that Bündchen was absent from this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show despite serving as one of the brand's angels from 1999 until 2006. The show featured a variety of past Angels, including Adriana Lima and Tyra Banks.
If true, this pregnancy marks Bündchen's third child. The supermodel shares two children with her former husband, NFL star Tom Brady. Together, they share 14-year-old Benjamin Rein and 11-year-old Vivian Lake.
Bündchen's Relationship With Valente
Bündchen and Brady were married for 13 years before they officially finalized their divorce in October 2022 in Glades County, Florida. The pair said their marriage was "irretrievably broken."
Bündchen first met Valente in 2020 after her son Benjamin began studying jiujitsu at a studio the instructor ran with his siblings. The model, however, only began taking self-defense classes in February 2022.
In July of the same year, Bündchen did a photoshoot for Dust magazine with Valente and his brothers. They were first linked in November after Valente joined the model and her kids in Costa Rica.
The pair began officially dating Valente in June 2023 but only confirmed the news to the press in February of this year, per Yahoo Entertainment.
