An Arizona father has been arrested after he attacked a case worker for the Department of Child Safety (DCS) and live-streamed the assault on Facebook.
On November 5, officers for the Mesa Police Department received 911 calls about a man---later identified as 32-year-old De'Adre Terrel Johnson---choking another man in the lobby of the Mesa Tower near Alma School Road. When police arrived, they found the case worker lying on the ground in an "altered state of consciousness."
Following an investigation, detectives learned the case worker was scheduled to meet Johnson in the lobby of the commercial building to discuss allegations made against the perpetrator by his daughter, per Fox News.
What Led to the Vicious Assault?
On October 31, Johnson posted a video on Facebook in which he expressed concerns after the DCS employee met and interviewed his nine-year-old daughter in a private room at her school. It was not made public what the daughter disclosed to the DCS worker. Johnson also noted that the school did not tell him about the encounter, the New York Post reported.
On the day of the attack, Johnson and the case worker appeared to be talking calmly. They also made a fist bump before saying goodbye when Johnson suddenly attacked the case worker from behind. The 32-year-old put the DCS worker in a chokehold for about two minutes and thirty seconds, livestreaming the attack.

Video of the assault showed the victim drooling, his eyes bulging, and his arm muscles tensing as he was strangling to get out of the chokehold.
"You still breathing?" Johnson asked the case worker at one point. "He's still breathing. I didn't make my f------ point."
Johnson later dropped the case worker, turned off the livestream, and walked away. The victim suffered "absolutely serious" injuries and "almost died," according to The Sacramento Bee, citing court documents.
Arresting Johnson
Officers tracked down Johnson in Scottsdale three hours after the altercation. However, he sped away and escaped the police's grappler net. He was stopped and taken into custody after multiple Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuvers.
Johnson is currently being held on a $500,000 cash bond. He has been charged with felony aggravated assault and attempted murder.
Prior to the attack on the DCS worker, Johnson was charged and convicted of aggravated assault when he kicked and stomped on a man he did not know until he lost consciousness.
