An actor who appeared on Netflix's Sex Education has been found guilty of raping and sexually abusing two teenage girls who sought him for acting lessons.
Alexander Westwood, 24, was found guilty of a total of 26 sexual offenses, including raping a schoolgirl who attended his acting class and sexually assaulting a child over a period of eight years.
He is scheduled to be sentenced at Wolverhampton Crown Court in February, as first reported by BBC News.
Westwood's Sexual Abuse
During the trial, prosecutor Andrew Wallace said Westwood repeatedly forced his students to watch pornographic materials and act out "the most inappropriate scenes." He would also speak about sex scenes in films such as the 1991 Frankie and Johnny and a certain masturbation scene from Bridgerton.
Between November 2020 and September 2021, Westwood would consistently push one of his teenage students to engage in sexual activity. The prosecutor added that Westwood also kept the student in his classes after threatening that she would owe him £36,000 or over $45,000 if she stopped attending his acting lessons.

His abuse of the teenage girl overlapped with that of another pupil who attended his classes from May to August 2021. Westwood allegedly gave the second student a script between a father and daughter in Greek mythology and asked the girl to act it in the nude. The victim initially declined but later undressed after Westwood "kept going on about it."
The prosecutor said the actor touched the child's breast and vaginal area. When the child later texted him that the act made her feel "uncomfortable," he said it was all "part of acting."
In addition to the two students, Westwood had also sexually assaulted a woman between September 2020 and October 2021, as well as a boy aged between nine and 10.
