A child exploitation investigator found dozens of accounts on OnlyFans, an adult-only website featuring child sexual abuse materials (CSAM).
Matt W.J. Richardson, head of intelligence at The Canadian Open Source Intelligence Center, reported at least 26 OnlyFans accounts to officers with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) on suspicion that they contain sexual content featuring minor girls.
In many of the accounts, the content featured more than one girl believed to be underage, Richardson told Reuters, which was the first to report the findings.
"What is alarming is the scope and scale of it," he said.
Specific Findings
Richardson noted that many of the images featuring CSAM were of females whose physical attributes were typically found in individuals under the age of 18. These features included narrow hips and shoulders and a lack of physical maturation. Many of the images also featured females who were under five feet in height.

In addition, some of the accounts Richardson found were linked to other profiles also featuring CSAM through promotional posts. This, he said, suggested that the accounts may be controlled by one person or group.
The accounts were removed on Dec. 16 within hours of Richardson reporting them to authorities.
How Did OnlyFans Respond?
A spokesperson for the adults-only website said the company follows a "zero tolerance approach" towards CSAM content. The spokesperson also noted that OnlyFans has a strict process in place to verify the identity of new creators to ensure they are over the age of 18.
Furthermore, the spokesperson emphasized that they work closely with NCMEC to investigate any allegations it receives.
It is not the first time that OnlyFans accounts have been reported for featuring CSAM content. In October, a 22-year-old man pleaded to contest child abuse after he posted 200 explicit videos and images of CSAM, including one where adults engaged in oral sex with toddlers.
A previous Reuters investigation also led to the discovery of 30 complaints in US police and court records over CSAM content appearing on OnlyFans between December 2019 and June 2024.
