Donald Trump returned to the White House on Monday, January 20, after being sworn in as the new president of the United States. His second stint at the presidency will once again put his family back in the spotlight.
Trump has a complex family tree. Throughout his life, the president has been married three times, with each marriage bringing new members into his family. He is also now a grandfather to numerous grandchildren.

Donald Trump's Parents
Donald Trump's parents were Fred Trump and Mary Anne MacLeod Trump. Fred Trump was born in New York City in 1905 to German immigrant parents. He became a successful real estate developer, starting his own construction company at the age of 15 and eventually building a fortune in affordable housing along the US East Coast. Fred was known for his business acumen but also faced investigations for profiteering and racial discrimination in his housing developments.
Mary Anne MacLeod Trump was born in 1912 on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland. She immigrated to the United States in 1930 at the age of 18, initially working as a maid in New York City. Mary Anne met Fred Trump in the 1930s, and they married in 1936, settling in Queens, New York.
Donald Trump's Four Siblings
The president has four siblings, though only one is still living today. His oldest sister, Maryanne Trump Barry, was a federal judge who passed away recently. Fred Trump Jr., the eldest brother, died in 1981 due to alcoholism. The youngest brother, Robert Trump, who worked in the family business and was close to Donald, died in 2020.
Elizabeth Trump Grau, Donald's older sister, is the only surviving sibling and lives a private life in Florida after retiring from her banking career.

Donald Trump's Three Wives
Trump has been married three times. His first wife was Ivana Trump, whom he married in 1977 and divorced in 1992. They had three children together: Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric.
Trump's second marriage was to Marla Maples from 1993 to 1999, and they had one daughter, Tiffany.
His current wife is Melania Trump, whom he married in 2005. Melania, born in Slovenia, became a U.S. citizen in 2006 and is the mother of Trump's youngest son, Barron. She served as First Lady during Trump's presidency from 2017 to 2021 and is now set to return to that role as Trump begins his second term as the 47th President of the United States.
Donald Trump's Five Children
He has five children from three marriages. His oldest three children - Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric - are from his first marriage to Ivana Trump. They have been involved in both the Trump Organization and their father's political career.
Tiffany, Trump's daughter, and his second wife, Marla Maples, are lawyers who have maintained a lower profile.
The youngest, Barron, is Trump's only child with current wife, Melania. At 18 years old, Barron is now a freshman at New York University, focusing on his studies.
Donald Trump's 10 Grandchildren
As of January, the president has 10 grandchildren, with an 11th on the way. The oldest is Kai Madison Trump, who's 17 and has started to step into the spotlight, even speaking at the 2024 Republican National Convention. Trump's grandkids range in age from 5 to 17 and come from his three oldest children: Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. Donald Jr.
Don Jr. has five kids (Kai, Donald III, Tristan, Spencer, and Chloe), Ivanka has three (Arabella, Joseph, and Theodore), and Eric has two (Luke and Carolina).
