Kidnapped Girl from Georgia Found Alive, Two Suspects in Custody

A 14-year old girl from Georgia who was abducted from her family during a home invasion was found alive, according to Latino FOX News.

The girl, Ayvani Perez was taken from her home on Tuesday around 2:15 in the morning after robbers who went inside their house realized that there was no money or jewelry there. The abductors were reported to have shot the family's god during the break in.

Authorities confirmed that the said abduction appeared to be random. The search was done immediately after the family reported the case. It involved 150 law enforcement personnel. Two suspects have been found and are now in custody. Two others are at large, said police officials involved in the case.

One of the men in custody is Juan Alberto Contreras-Rodriguez, a 40-year-old Mexican national who is being held on immigration-related charges. The other suspect, Wildrego Jackson of Atlanta, 29, is being held on charges of conspiracy to commit kidnapping.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Jackson spent time in state prison on several drug convictions, aggravated stalking and theft. Clayton County Police Chief Gregory Porter said the girl was found in Conyers, Ga., and has been reunited with her family. "She's in good health, she's being evaluated as we speak," Porter said.

Two men pried open a back door of the home in the Ellenwood area around 2:15 a.m. Tuesday, demanding the items, Clayton County police Officer Phong Nguyen said. The home invasion was apparently random, Nguyen told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "It didn't appear that they knew each other," he said of the suspects and victims. "They just moved in about a month ago."
