Jennifer Garner Takes Kids to Church Weekly

"Miracles from Heaven" star Jennifer Garner recently shared that she has practiced her children to go to church every week. The mom of three claimed that the tradition was part of her life when she was still young.

"I grew up going to church every Sunday of my life, and when I did move to L.A., it wasn't something that was just part of the culture there in the same way, at least in my life," she said in an interview with Good Morning Texas. But it didn't mean that I lost who I was."

She noted that she is more open to her kids about faith and religion. Garner co-parents Violet, Seraphina Rose and Samuel with estranged husband Ben Affleck. The two announced their divorce last year but the actress maintained that Affleck remains to be the love of her life.

The 43-year-old actress also shared that her new movie "Miracles from Heaven" strengthened her faith and that of her kids. "So it was a great gift of this film that it took us back to finding our local Methodist church and going every Sunday. It's really sweet," Garner added.

Set to be released on March 17, the upcoming movie is based on the novel of the same title which was written by Christy Beam. IMDB said it tells a story about a girl, Annabel, who is faced with an unusual digestive disease but was cured miraculously after she fell from a tree.

Garner plays the mother of the main character, who claimed that she went to heaven prior to waking up from an unconscious state brought by the impact of the fall. "Nobody who meets this child, with her sincerity and her frank honesty and faith, would ever think for a second that this child is making anything up or is being sensational," Garner mentioned in a Today report.
