Tess Holliday Wears Her Bikini And Inspires All Moms To Do The Same On Their Pregnancy

Plus-size model Tess Holliday posted a picture of her on Instagram on Feb. 23 wearing a bikini in the middle of her 6th-month pregnancy. She is making rounds online as she inspires a lot of women who consider themselves "plus size" to not mind about the beauty standards that society has placed on them.

Café Mom featured the model and mom-to-be for her courage to stepping up and standing firm on what she believes that people these days should call beautiful. Women who are plus sized are often criticized for their weight and are even bullied and body shamed on social media and this is something that Holliday wants to put a stop on.

The plus-size model has been a victim of body shaming herself even until today, so she knows what it feels like to be put down because of her weight. In response to her haters, she posted a picture of her by the pool confidently wearing a bikini and even showing off her baby bump. Take that body shamers!

Holliday captioned her photo with "6 Months preggo today (& still slayin') #F*CKyourbeautystandards." Clearly, she is making a statement to encourage all women out there that no matter what shape and size they are in to just go by the pool, wear something they are comfortable with and rock it with confidence.

The now pregnant model has not only been getting a lot of negative feedbacks due to how she looks for her weight, but also receiving lots of concerns about her health from various netizens. According to Mayo Clinic, being obese during pregnancy sparks a huge risk for both the mother and the child, which is why proper dieting and exercise are suggested to keep the body fit during those 9 months.

But not all plus-size women are obese and unhealthy and just because they are big, doesn't mean they can't have a healthy pregnancy. And this is something that Holliday just wants to address to people who are still bashing her.
