Apart from being an expert at handling lightsabers, "Star Wars" star Daisy Ridley, who plays the potential Jedi knight Rey, apparently has singing chops, and she's recording a song with a "massive superstar."
"Star Wars" director J.J. Abrams revealed Ridley's secret project while honoring the actress during the Oscar Wilde Awards last Friday, Feb. 26. "On Saturday, this weekend, she is going to record a song with an unnamed person, but let's just say a massive superstar," said Abrams, E! Online reported.
The newest cast members of "Star Wars" are aware that Ridley can carry a tune. Over the holidays, she and co-star Oscar Isaac actually released a video for Twitter Chat and they were singing "Baby, It's Cold Outside." Watch a teaser of it below:
No other details have been released about which superstar Ridley was working with during the Saturday recording.
Meanwhile, in between projects, the "Star Wars" cast are still busy filming for the next installment of the movie. In a recent shoot with Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker, Ridley fell ill and couldn't not stop vomiting, Comic Book reported.
"I'll be honest with you, I was very sick one of the days we filmed," confessed the actress. "Mark was trying to do his serious acting, and I was like, retching in the cooler. I'm not kidding it was so awful."
Cinema Blend reported that Ridley and Hamill had been filming at island of Skellig Michael in Ireland. It was the same site shown towards the end of "The Force Awakens." Reaching the top of Skellig Michael involves many steps, which might have contributed to Ridley's exhaustion. The actress also revealed that a steady camera was fixed on her while she was up and down the steps, which made climbing and going down even heavier.
