'GTA' News & Updates: New 'GTA Online' Mode Called 'Rhino Hunt'

A new multiplayer mode is now available in "GTA Online". The developer, Rockstar Games will run an Event Week to celebrate the launch of the new Adversary Mode.

According to the U.K. publication Express, Rockstar is changing the way they launch content for the popular Online mode of "GTA 5". The games developer studio appears to try a drip-feed approach instead of producing big updates that launch several new mode additions at once. The trend is splitting an update in two and launching new vehicles and items at different times.

By launching more Event Weeks, Rockstar is also trying to keep fans active in "GTA Online". The latest Event Week is celebrating the release of the new "Rhino Hunt Adversary Mode". Rockstar will run the new "Rhino Hunt" week from Feb. 26 to March 3 and during the event will offer various discounts for "GTA 5" fans.

The Rockstar Newswire announced that the new Adversary Mode is called "Rhino Hunt". The multiplayer mode is a David vs. Goliath-type scenario. One team of "Hunters" drives around and throws sticky bombs at a player in a heavily armored Rhino military tank. Meanwhile, in order to survive against the onslaught of sticky bombs Rhino drivers must use the sheer strength and firepower of their tank.

"Rhino Hunt" multiplayer mode is available across Los Santos in three different locations. Rockstar did not reveal these locations yet, but we know that the airport is one of them from fan videos on YouTube.

The platform availability for "Rhino Hunt" was also not specified yet by the developer Rockstar but according to GameSpot it is expected that the mode will be exclusive to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of "GTA Online".

Before "Rhino Hunt", the latest multiplayer mode for "GTA Online" was the Valentine's Day themed "Till Death Do Us Part". "GTA Online" just enjoyed its best week in terms of the number of people playing it and revenue.
