3 New Cocktail Recipes to Try This Year

Cocktail concoction experts came up with a list of new alcoholic beverages to fall in love with this year. From tequila to gin, the lists are endless, but listed below are the tops drinks to try for 2016.

People who are thrilled to throw parties at home should not fret as Vanity Fair and US Weekly provided a list of cocktails to prepare and as well as their ingredients. Some cocktails were inspired by the Oscars, while some were created from leftover ingredients. There is no such thing as a perfect mix since the taste preference varies per individual, but the ones listed below will surely melt your taste buds.

In Vacanza

This cocktail concoction is created with a refreshing tropical twist. According to the Inquisitr website, this drink, which was formulated by Meaghan Montagno is on top of the "must try" list. Place all the ingredients listed below on a shaker and mix vigorously. Strain the liquid upon pouring into a glass. It is best served with ice and a slice of pineapple to garnish.

1¾ oz Absolut Elyx

1 oz El Dorado three-year-old rum

¾ oz Velvet Falernum

¾ oz Amontillado Sherry

½ oz lemon juice

½ oz caramelized pineapple purée

3 dashes Bittermens Tiki Bitters

3 dashes Bittermens Mole Bitters

This drink was created by Eddy Buckingham, Justin Timberlake's personal mixologist who came up with his tequila brand, Sauza 901. Mix all the ingredients on a shaker with ice and pour into a martini glass.

2 oz Sauza 901

1 oz Orange Curacao

1 oz fresh lemon juice

1/4 oz agave nectar

1 dash Angostura Orange Bitters

Orange peel

The Martian: Cherry Bomb Smash

It may seem like a ladies drink, but The Martian is an all-time favorite among yuppies. To prepare the drink at home, mix the maraschino cherries, lemon juice and bourbon on the base of the cocktail shaker. Strain upon placing into the glass, serve with ice and add Dr Pepper gently.

2-3 maraschino cherries, lemon juice

1/2 oz lemon juice

1 1/2 oz bourbon

Dr Pepper
