A post from a 25-year-old Talia Jane made the headlines as she slammed her previous workplace, Yelp for being underpaid. Little did she know that Stefanie Williams, 29 has an outstanding response to her lengthy rant.
In response to Jane's Medium post, Williams said Talia's post made the millennial generation look bad. She then emphasized the value of work ethics a modestly according to Today.
Part of William's letter which was posted on her Medium account stated, "Work ethic is not something that develops from entitlement. Quite the opposite, in fact. It develops when you realize there are a million other people who could perform your job and you are lucky to have one. It comes from sucking up the bad aspects and focusing on the good and above all it comes from humility. It comes from modesty. And those are two things, based on your article that you clearly do not possess."
Aside from calling out her work ethics, Williams also mentioned that, "She believes she deserves these things that most of us would call luxuries, You expected to get what you thought you deserved rather than expected to work for what you had to earn. And that's the problem entirely."
According to the Chicago Tribune, millennials will continually invade the workforce by 2020 and 50 percent of a company would be run by this generation. By 2025, they would take up 75 percent of the work force.
The report also mentioned that despite the fact that millennials tend to frustrate the company's Human Resource, they are most likely to get hired. The millennial generation's optimistic values are something that builds up their assets. Their high hopes in climbing up the ladder of success tend to give them a golden ticket for the job their rooting for.
