The recently concluded Emmys 2013 surprised viewers with the list of winners who brought home the remarkable award, according to the NY Daily News.
List of winners at Sunday's 65th annual Primetime Emmy Awards presented by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences include Best Drama Series "Breaking Bad," on AMC, Best Actor for Drama Series, Jeff Daniels, for "The Newsroom," aired on HBO, Best Actress Drama Series, Claire Danes, for "Homeland," aired on Showtime and Best Supporting Actor, Drama Series, Bobby Cannavale for "Boardwalk Empire," aired on HBO.
Other winners include, Supporting Actress, Drama Series: Anna Gunn, "Breaking Bad," AMC, Directing, Drama Series: David Fincher, "House of Cards," Netflix , Writing, Drama Series: Henry Bromell, "Homeland," Showtime, Comedy Series: "Modern Family," ABC and Actor, Comedy Series: Jim Parsons, "The Big Bang Theory," CBS.
Beyond the awards, the Emmys also became the perfect venue for some of the most remarkable moments in history. Actors Cory Monteith and James Gandolfini received special recognitions and speeches from co-stars Jane Lynch and Edie Falco for Glee and Sopranos respectively. Producer Gary David Goldberg was remembered by Family Ties star Michael J. Fox and actress Jean Stapleton was remembered by All in the Family co-star, Rob Reiner.
One of the most remarkable performances of the night was from Elton John himself who celebrated Liberace with a special performance of Home Again. The singer was introduced by Matt Damon and Michael Douglas who both co-starred in the Emmy-winning HBO Liberace film Behind the Candelabra.
Certified scene stealers were Tina Fey and Amy Poehler who nearly stole the show from this year's host, Neil Patrick Harris, after they advised the How I Met Your Mother actor to take off his pants and twerk like Miley Cyrus.
