The release of "Titanfall 2" could be drawing near as an observant fan spotted that the video game series has set up its pre-order notices and in-store ads at a GameStop store.
Twitter user @niallmaherFM shared a photo of the ads and notices for "Titanfall 2" on his social media account. He took this at a local outlet and noted that this is the first confirmation the game is finally getting a release despite no official word from developer Respawn Entertainment.
The fan also shared his find in the game forum Neogaf. "They put up a bunch of placeholder boxes on the shelves with a Titanfall 2 logo with some pre order offer stuff," he posted in the forum.
In March 2015, Respawn Entertainment hinted bout working on "Titanfall 2," but the company has remained mum about its development for the most part. "We're working on a sequel," said the company's founder and CEO Vince Zampella via IGN. "No official name yet, but we're working on that. That's the main focus but we're starting up a second team and doing some smaller stuff too."
Attack Of The Fanboy reports that fans are going to be on the lookout for the next release of GameStop's Game Informer magazine. If it follows the first "Titanfall" timeline of release, then the sequel would be in the cover feature. Its launch should also coincide with the opening of the annual E3 event, thus putting "Titanfall 2's" release just before the summer. The E3 is happening on June 14 to 16 at Los Angeles, per E3 Expo.
Meanwhile, PlayStation Lifestyle cites that "Titanfall 2" pre-order listings are also up at online retailers like at Amazon U.K. and Gameware. The game can be played in console platforms like PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and it's also on the PC.
