The next Air Jordan 12 release could be set for this summer in time for the OVO music festival. The newest Air Jordan 12 OVO kicks has been earlier announced to come in a classy white colorway.
The Boom Box reports that the upcoming Air Jordan 12 footwear will have a clean look as it is predominantly done in white. However, the shoes will also play around with a stingray pattern that lends texture and contrast to the all-white leather appearance. It will also have golden accents and a noticeable translucent OVO logo at the sole.
Modern Notoriety reports that this release is the first retro kicks in the OVO line, which was first featured exclusively in rapper and music artist's Drake's social media posts from 2013. Now it looks like the shoes' launch is set to coincide with the OVO music festival in Toronto around July, where Drake is the event producer, per Everfest.
The Stashed cited that when Drake and Nike released the Air Jordan 10 OVO Black in February, it coincided with the NBA All-Star Weekend event that was also held in Toronto, the rapper's hometown. It is believed that Drake will use the same strategy for the Air Jordan 12 OVO White's release, where he times the launch with his other endeavors.
Drake first collaborated with Nike and the Air Jordan brand in 2014 for its Air Jordan 10 and 12 series. OVO is Drake's clothing and entertainment brand.
Meanwhile, the release of Air Jordan 12 The Master retro sneakers last Saturday, Feb. 27, was met with much success. Sneaker heads eagerly lined up at the stores the night before so that they are assured of getting their hands on the merchandise. Once the doors opened, the shoes were immediately sold out at some outlets, The Oakland Press reports.
The Air Jordan 12 The Master, an all-black shoes inspired by what basketball superstar Michael Jordan wore in his earlier years, was released in time for shoe brand's 20th anniversary.
