Chris Rock During the Oscars 2016 Opening Monologue: Jada Pinkett Smith Wasn't Invited!

Chris Rock is one hilarious guy who rocked the 2016 Oscars Academy Awards at the Los Angeles Dolby Theater. The comedian addressed the issues concerning the #OscarsSoWhite controversy during his 2016 Oscars opening monologue. He named celebrities who "got mad" but the one who felt the brunt of the blow was no other than Jada Pinkett Smith.

According to TMZ, Rock was only responding to Smith's video where she stated that she would be boycotting the most prestigious celebrity gathering, the Academy Awards. His tenor was "why would somebody be boycotting an affair if that somebody wasn't invited at all?" Rock pointed out that Smith was not even close to getting a nomination, so why bother?

E!Online was able to report the exact words of Rock on stage, and he went like this, "Jada's gonna boycott the Oscars? Jada boycotting the Oscars is like me boycotting Rihanna's panties. I wasn't invited!" This caused uproar in the crowd where Hollywood's finest was seated.

When the laughter died down, Rock was quick to say that he understood why Smith got upset about all of it. He said, "Her man Will was not nominated for Concussion. I get it. You get mad. It's not fair that Will was this good and didn't get nominated. You're right." He further added that, "It's also not fair that Will was paid $20 million for Wild Wild West!"

Rock didn't hold anything back when he discussed the "boycotting" of some black artists because of "no black nominations" during the 2016 Oscars. He did this with suave and class as he even joked about the opening montage of the Oscars where several black actors could be seen. He even called the Academy Awards as the "White People's Choice Awards."

Perhaps, more than Rock and Leonardo DiCaprio who got the Best Actor Award, the one who will perpetually remember this will be Smith.
