Fans of "Final Fantasy" game franchise hopefully won't be waiting much longer for the upcoming "Final Fantasy 15." The game title has long held a vague release window. But after nine years in the making, the game will be announced at the "Uncovered. Final Fantasy 15" event , on March 30.
The Los Angeles-based event is expected to bring "major announcements and surprises" along with the release date. According to CrossMap, fans of the "Final Fantasy" franchise can expect that along with "Final Fantasy 15" the game "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" will come for the Nintendo NX system.
The game's developer, Square Enix, started working on "Final Fantasy 15" under the title "Final Fantasy Versus 13." However, the studio has changed the game title and made it a main entry in the franchise. "Final Fantasy 15" was scheduled originally as a PlayStation 3 release. The extensive development cycle of the game has started all the way back to late 2006. At one point , "Final Fantasy 15" was even heavily speculated to be canceled. However, finally the game was revealed as an Xbox One and PlayStation 4 title.
Square Enix has been divulging slowly more information on the gameplay but the plot is still largely a mystery. According to the website utdailybeacon.com, in "Final Fantasy 15" players take control of Noctis Caelum. He gained strange powers after a near-death experience and he is heir to his kingdom's throne. On the eve of supposed peace negotiations, when the empire of Niflheim invades the kingdom, Noctis is driven from his home of Lucis.
The publisher of "Final Fantasy 15" has been released a playable demo and has been leaked extended gameplay videos. "Final Fantasy 15: Episode Duscae" is a two-hour demo of the game released back in March 2015.
In "Episode Duscae," Noctis and his party are to be found stranded without their car in the city of Duscae. Gamers must make enough money to pay for the car's repair and they can explore the game's vast open-world setting. The story of the full game is masked in the demo that was created around a section where the party loses its vehicle. The demo is available to early purchasers of "Final Fantasy Type 0 HD."
