The writer and illustrator of long-running anime series, Eiichiro Oda, released the main visual of the manga's upcoming film, "One Piece Film Gold." The 13th feature movie will be shown in Japan on July 23 with the introduction of a new male character.
The newly drawn illustration was posted in "One Piece's" official website made by the 41-year-old manga artist, who also works as "One Piece Film Gold's" executive producer. He also gave a glimpse of the latest addition to the center of the poster holding a microphone.
The said graphic is about to be shown in Japanese theaters starting March 19. Also, on the same day, the "second edition of advance tickets" will be on sale following the first version with a "clear file."
The passes will be in A3-size original with a bonus art calendar that has the character reference especially made by Eiichiro Oda himself. Additionally, the new character in "One Piece Film Gold" is not yet known if an ally or a foe.
It was also seen that Luffy was bearing something serious attached around his waist. It has been said that the latest role is Gildo Tesoro, the leader of the largest entertainment city in the world.
This will be the first time that the short man with a slicked black hair and a pink suit will be seen in the "One Piece" series. He will be often seen wearing a lot of jewelry with a clip-on chain, star-shaped earrings and a ring on every finger.
However, Gildo Tesoro would only appear in the movie version of "One Piece" and never in the television or manga series. Meanwhile, "One Piece Film Gold" will, too, be directed by Hiroaki Miyamoto, who already worked with 352nd and 678th episodes of the "One Piece" TV anime.
This is also the first time of the Japanese novelist Tsutomu Kuroiwa to pen an anime-related work as he is usually involved in live-action TV drama and films and the movie adaptation of 2014's "Black Butler."
