A new 45-second clip of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" was premiered in Jimmy Kimmel Live as part of his post-Oscar broadcast. The teaser finally showed a fight scene between the two superheroes, one that Batman seemed to outmaneuver.
The Verge describes how the fight between Batman and Superman took place: fighting on top of a building with Superman throwing Batman to his light signal. While it seemed Superman dominates the fight, Batman pulls a tricking move to get back at Superman. Using his own resources to defend himself, he fishes out a smoke bomb to divert Superman and be able to corner him.
Seeing the video clip produces different reactions from its fans. For instance, The Verge finds it odd that Batman has a rifle when in fact the character in the comics version is strongly against to firearms. This comes as highly confusing especially director Zack Snyder plans to follow the comic version as closely as possible.
Polygon also reported on its take on the new teaser video. The reports said that while there is no notable information revealed in the clip, the director Zack Snyder gives the audience a glimpse on how the director designed the fighting scenes. Polygon believes that fight scenes in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" are much like Snyder's previous movie, 300, where some parts are slowed down and emphasized before rapidly moving the movements.
Kimmel who has been friends with Ben Affleck for years interviewed the actor after the Oscar's Awards Night. Kimmel made a 10-minute spoof out of the first encounter of Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne at Lex Luthor's place. Even Jesse Eisenberg was able to make an appearance just like in the real trailer for "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice". Check out the video below:
The movie is slated to open in the theatres just a few weeks from now, March 25.
