Former High School Musical star, Corbin Bleu has the potential to win this season's Dancing With the Stars, according to Reality TV Magazine.
This prediction is based on his first two performances on the show. But although he made last night's performance look easy, Bleu says learning the dance was incredibly challenging even if it was themed based on his previous hit movie, High School Musical. Between natural talent, previous performing experience and plenty of fan appeal, viewers already assume that Corbin Bleu is a shoe-in for the finals on Dancing With the Stars. But this reality competition is known for its ability to surprise - and this season is not likely to prove the exception.
As such, Corbin needed to continue the hard work so as to perfect his dancing technique and indeed bag the trophy at the end of the season. Thus far, the singer- actor has done an excellent job. He certainly impressed with last night' High School Musical-themed jive. A ton of preparation preceded the nearly flawless performance, for, as Corbin explained, the overaching goal was to "engage the audience a bit more, so you get people a little more excited and you get people's heart rates go up a little bit more."
To achieve this end, Corbin carefully followed Karin Smimoff's instructions, even when they seemed completely batty. In order to improve his legwork, Karina had her partner practice while wearing ankle weights. Corbin initially found this approach problematic but later acknowledged that it was "all for the good of the dance" and that it actually helped him a lot.
