Titanic star Kate Winslet is not pregnant despite being photographed with Brie Larson and Cate Blanchett touching her tummy during the Oscars. The actress was just reportedly letting the two "feel" her dress.
According to TMZ, the rumors about the 40-year-old actress' pregnancy are all just false alarm since Winslet was reportedly allowing the two other actresses to know that she had a great felt dress. "She was simply showing off the material on her dress to the ladies," said a TMZ source.
Daily Mail said the gesture of Larson and Blanchett appeared to the public as a message that Winslet was expecting another child. It noted that the three were also talking to each other like they were happy, surprised and excited prior to the abdomen touch.
Twitter user @SoDamnTrue even asked if the three were indeed talking about pregnancy. "Did Kate Winslet just tell Cate Blanchett and Brie Larson that she's pregnant or am I just looking into it too much?" the tweet read.
After the issue exploded on social media, Winslet's mom, Sally, told Mirror that the pregnancy rumors are not true and that her daughter has not mentioned anything about it. "I haven't heard a word about it. I could be the last to know but that's highly unlikely where Kate's concerned," she explained.
Another denial came from a spokesperson for the actress who told OK! that Winslet is definitely not pregnant. "I can confirm that this rumor is not true and that Kate is not pregnant," the spokesperson noted.
According to Daily Mail, Winslet is currently a mom to three children, 15-year-old Mia Honey Threapleton, 12-year-old Joe Alfie Winslet Mendes and 2-year-old Bear Blaze, her son with husband Ned Rocknroll. Winslet was wed to Rocknroll in 2012 in a private ceremony in New York with a few family members and friends invited.
