Last year, Bethesda announced "Fallout 4" during the 2015 E3 and later releasing the game in November 2015. This year there are rumors that the game developer company will keep the tradition alive and will announce "The Elder Scrolls 6" in June at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).
In case that the rumors prove to be true and Bethesda announces the next iteration in the "Elder Scrolls" series during this year's E3, fans might expect to get the game before the end of the year. Other rumors also claim that the game developer company is working to shorten the time between game tile announcements and releases.
According to Yibada, "The Elder Scrolls 6" could be released as early as November if Bethesda is trying to replicate the success of "Fallout 4." However, the game developer company has remained silent about the upcoming installment. No official statement clarifies if "The Elder Scrolls 6" will come out this year or not. The only assurance is that Bethesda is busy developing new game titles. However, fans of "The Elder Scrolls" game franchise still hope to see "Elder Scrolls 6" this year.
Recently the game studio's director Todd Howard unveiled what is keeping Bethesda's developers busy. Howard said at the DICE 2016 summit that the company is working on three new projects different from what they have worked on before.
Howard declared, according to Gamerant, that the game developer studio has three longer-term projects different from anything they have done before. While Howard declined to reveal too much, saying that the company will talk more in detail about the mentioned projects at a future date, he also mentioned "a Bethesda-style game; big and crazy".
Some game experts think that it is possible that the three Bethesda projects Howard is talking may not necessarily include a follow-up entry in the "Elder Scrolls" or "Fallout" franchises. However, fans hope that "The Elder Scrolls 6" will be released soon.
Looking back to find a pattern, we can notice that Bethesda uses to release a new title at every five years. Taking into consideration that "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" was released in the year 2011, it is likely that a follow-up "Elder Scrolls 6" title should come out this year.
