'The Walking Dead' News & Update: Showrunners, Co-Actors Hint the Death of Daryl Dixon

Daryl Dixon dominated the world of "The Walking Dead" as one of the most favorite characters of the show. In fact, no one wanted him dead as the taglines, "if Daryl dies we riot" and "he can't die," got famous every time there's a threat of his demise.

However, being the all round badass and a fan favorite doesn't make him immortal as people behind "The Walking Dead" keep on saying that "no one is safe." To recall, Rick, Carl, Daryl and Glenn are the only remaining characters from the original group.

In fact, the showrunners often hint that his time will come. The executive producer of "The Walking Dead" Robert Kirkman recently told CNN that "No, no one is safe, definitely not. Looking at you Norman Reedus."

Greg Nicotero, the other executive producer of the show, on the other hand, said in his interview with Empire magazine suggested that a major death is coming. "If you read the comic book, you know we're climbing towards a major death."

He, too, added that a "relentless" and "heartbreaking" finale is about to come. Moreover, even Daryl Dixon's co-actors are claiming that he will soon say goodbye to "The Walking Dead."

The stars said that they are used to film the season finale, but this time is quite different from the final episodes from the previous season. Andrew Lincoln, who played the fearless leader Rick, told EW that he felt sick when he read his script.

"It was the first day in the whole six years of working on The Walking Dead that I was late for work because I woke up in the middle of the night and I couldn't get back to sleep," he said. "I felt sick to my stomach when I read the script. I was so angry and frustrated and I felt sick. And that was just after reading it."

Meanwhile, it has always been said that someone is going to die when Negan arrives at "The Walking Dead." In the "TWD" comic book, it has been said that the new villain is going to kill Glenn with his "barbed wire covered baseball bat, Lucille."

However, there are speculations that Daryl Dixon will be the one to die as he already faced the men of Negan. "The Walking Dead" airs every Sunday on AMC.
