'Final Fantasy' News & Updates: Alexandria Stage Revealed For Dissidia In A March Update

Earlier this week, Square Enix teased the reveal of the opening location of "Final Fantasy 9." Alexandria Stage will make an appearance in the game series, as the third stage from "Final Fantasy 9."

According to Siliconera, "Duodecim" saw the Prima Vista as a battle arena and the original "Final Fantasy 9" saw final dungeon Crystal World. As all of the revealed stages from the game so far, "Dissidia Final Fantasy" must be going with a first stage theme. For instance, previously Midgard and Cornelia Field were the first areas of their respective games.

Square Enix has already revealed that a new map will be coming next month to "Dissidia Final Fantasy Arcade," according to a report by Nova Crystallis. The new map called Alexandria is based on Alexandria Castle from "Final Fantasy 9." Up to now, no other details on the arena are known.

"Dissidia Final Fantasy" has launched in November 2015 on Japan arcades. According to previous reports a PlayStation 4 version is "under consideration". However, there has been no news since the PlayStation 4 version of "Dissidia Final Fantasy" was suggested months before the game's initial release. Before the game developer Square Enix decides whether to port "Dissidia Final Fantasy" over to another platform, the game will remain exclusive to arcades for a whole year.

Previously last month, Hard Core Gamer has announced that Ramza from "Final Fantasy Tactics" would also join the roster of heroes in "Dissidia Final Fantasy." Square Enix has published a gameplay trailer for the game that shows how Ramza from "Final Fantasy Tactics" will play.

From the gameplay trailer for "Dissidia Final Fantasy" that is showcasing the latest roster addition we learn that Ramza's appearance in "Dissidia" is near identical to his original appearance in "Tactics." The hero still sports his blue tunic and pony tail. He is quite capable of casting different forms of magic and he wades into battle with a rapier.
