"Chicago Fire" Season 4 is currently on a hiatus but the NBC action-drama series remains blazing with fans' anticipating for the show's upcoming episodes. In a recent interview, the show's cast discuss their experiences dealing with real fire on set.
"Chicago Fire" Season 4 has been such a success on TV that it prompted the release of two more shows based on it - "Chicago PD" and "Chicago Med," Star2.com reported. Another show was also being considered for a release because of the support from fans and viewers.
During the interview with the publication, the show's executive producer and cast discussed the secrets to making their show a good one and how they dealt with real fire on set.
"In the 'Vampire Diaries' supernatural world, you have to imagine seeing stuff, whereas on 'Chicago Fire,' you walk in on a stunt day and there's actually a car on fire," newcomer Steven R. McQueen said. "It's been nice living in a world of reality."
McQueen, who previously starred in "TVD," recalled that he had to visit a number of firehouses and ask real firefighters about their experience. Joe Minoso also praised real firefighters who are risking their lives to save others.
"Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) may look better in a fire suit but the guys who are actually doing it are the ones you want," he said.
Christian Stolte, who plays the role of Randy on "Chicago Fire," also told the publication that acting with real fire helps with their performance. Jesse Spencer, on the other hand, admitted that he liked doing a scene with Monica Raymund.
Meanwhile, Carter Matt stated that "Chicago Fire" Season 4 may return later this March. The publication stated that the show's prolonged hiatus may be due to a number of reasons.
According to the outlet, "Chicago Fire" Season 4 hiatus may be to give way for the new season of "The Voice." Aside from this, doing so will help ensure that there are new episodes to air for the entire season.
