It's a girl for Drew Barrymore!
The actress and her husband Will Kopelman confirmed the news.
"We are proud to announce the birth of our daughter, Olive Barrymore Kopelman, born September 26th, healthy, happy and welcomed by the whole family," the couple said in a statement to UsWeekly. "Thank you for respecting our privacy during this most special time in our lives."
Rumors of the actress expecting her first child started immediately after her engagement with her boyfriend Kopelman in February. Speculations spread like wild fire after the actress was seen leaving a doctor's clinic with a sonogram in February. She was also spotted attending prenatal yoga classes. However, Barrymore continued to keep mum on the topic.
It was only in June, after tying the knot with art consultant Kopelman, the 37-year-old confirmed her pregnancy.
After confirming the pregnancy, the actress revealed her dreams about her family.
"I can't wait until I have my children," People magazine quoted the actress, telling to Haute Living magazine, recently. "I just want to build fun, great things for my family."
She has also expressed her desire to have lots of children with Kopelman.
"We'll start with one," she told Us Weekly. "See how it goes and if we could be so blessed . . . that would be wonderful."
