Jodie Foster and Alexandra Hedison Dating

Months after making headlines for subtly acknowledging her sexuality in her Golden Globes acceptance speech, Jodie Foster reportedly has a brand new girlfriend, according to the Huffington Post.

E! Online reports that the Academy Award-winning actress, 50, has been "quietly dating" photographer Alexandra Hedison. "It's pretty serious," a source told E! of the new couple. "They're totally in love." Previously, Hedison was linked to Ellen DeGeneres, according to the report. Hedison and DeGeneres split in 2004, The Advocate reported at the time.

Hedison, 44, is no stranger to the Hollywood scene. In addition to having dated DeGeneres, she appeared on Showtime's "The L Word" as Dylan Moreland. Her acting resume also includes stints on "Prey," "L.A. Firefighters," and the original "Melrose Place."

Foster thanked her ex-girlfriend and co-parent, Cydney Bemard, when she accepted the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award at the Golden Globes in January. Foster and Bernard, who split in 2008, have two sons, Charles and Kit.

It's not the first time that Jodie and Alexandra have been linked, as reports of a romance between he pair first emerged when they were seen together at a technology seminar in Los Angeles this summer. The duo then fuelled the claims when they went to dinner with friends several days later. The relationship marks the first serious pairings for both Jodie and Alexandra in several years.

News of Jodie's reported romance with Alexandra comes after the actress came out as gay while accepting a lifetime achievement award at the Golden Globe awards in January. She said at the time: 'This is not going to be a big coming out speech tonight because I already did my coming out about a thousand years ago back in the stone age - in those very quaint days when a fragile girl would open up to trusted friends and family and coworkers and then gradually proudly to everyone who knew her.
