After positive reviews on the new "Attack on Titan" game for PC, a group of game developers have decided to create a mobile game based on the anime series. The mobile game is set to launch in all English markets for Android and iOS devices by the end of 2016.
"Attack on Titan" may be played using mobile devices real soon as NGames Interactive Limited, GameSamba and Funimation Entertainment announced on Friday that they are working with Kodansha in developing a mobile game based on the popular anime series, reports Develop. The "Attack on Titan" mobile game is said to be action-driven that will combine elements of runner and action games to reflect the titan battles from the anime series. The best part is that the game will be available to iOS and android users all over the world.
Although there weren't many details revealed about the game, Comic Book Resources reports that players will need to carefully plan their strategy and be quick in their reactions to survive the game. Later on, more details about the elements of the game will be revealed.
"We're very excited to work with NGames and GameSamba to create a game based on the wildly popular 'Attack on Titan' franchise," said CEO of Funimation Entertainment Gen Fukunaga said in a statement. "With more than 50 million copies of the manga in print, a 25-episode anime series, and last year's live-action films, we're excited to show fans what we can do with a game," he was quoted saying by Comic Book Resources.
It was previously announced that GameSamba, NGames and Funimation also teamed up and to create a mobile game based on wildly popular anime series "Tokyo Ghoul." More so, the three also planning to develop a web and mobile game based on another anime series, "Fairy Tail." These games will be released this year in multiple languages worldwide, reports Develop.
