"Bachelorette" alum Jillian Harris is expecting her first child with longtime boyfriend Justin Pasutto. The reality TV personality has announced on Friday that she is 13 weeks pregnant.
Harris, who found reality-star fame after appearing as the first Canadian 'Bachelorette' on the fifth season of the ABC series, made the announced the pregnancy news on her blog. "This has to be one of the most fabulous, emotional, wonderful blogs I have every written and we are so happy to share this news with you," she wrote.
On her blog post, the 36-year-old TV star shared that she had always dreamed of becoming a mother. "Justin and I have been together for almost four years now, and he will tell you I started talking about babies on the first date," she explained.
Jillian Harris also expressed that being pregnant has been the weirdest thing she ever experienced. "Maybe I will call it beautiful once the baby is here but for now, it's just weird. I am literally growing a tiny person. I still can't get over that," she added.
Moreover, former professional snowboarder Justin Pasutto also shared the news on his Instagram account. "Words can't express how lucky and blessed we feel to introduce a new life into ours and that our wish has finally come true," he wrote while sharing a black-and-white photo of Harris' baby bump with their dog, Nacho Cilantro.
According to the Chicago Tribune, Harris has worked as an interior designer and is currently hosting the TV show, "Love It or List It Vancouver." In early 2009, Jillian joined "The Bachelor" and finished as the second runner-up. In the same year, she was chosen as the fifth Bachelorette of the American reality TV series.
Harris has concluded her "Bachelorette" season with an engagement to Chicago entrepreneur Ed Swiderski. Unfortunately, the couple parted ways in 2010. Swiderski married Chicago TV anchor Natalie Bomke last year.
