It's no secret that the 90s mystical light drama series "Charmed" had a cult following and news of its reboot on CBS has fans really excited. Alyssa Milano, who was one of the show's stars, said that something is definitely brewing for the show. But she also stated a few clarifications about the revival.
As "Charmed" is gearing for its 10th anniversary, Milano expressed that she believes a reunion is going to happen soon. "I just feel like with all these reunions, and we still have such a cult following, that I feel like someone's going to put that together at some point," she told Entertainment Tonight. She also claimed that her co-stars are on board if ever this happens, but her recent statements have caused a frenzy among "Charmed" fans.
Taking to Twitter, Milano clarified that there are no confirmations to the original cast getting back together just yet, but there are plans to bring back the series on television, with some changes. "CBS is developing a reboot without the original cast. That's all I know for sure," the actress wrote.
The reboot of "Charmed" was first reported in 2013, according to The Hollywood Reporter. But nothing has come out of these talks so far. Milano speaking out is the latest confirmation that the revival is still in the plans, but it's not clear whether this show is going to be part of 2016's fall TV season slate.
Milano played Phoebe on "Charmed" for eight seasons. She was one of the Halliwell sisters with witch powers. Holly Marie Combs (Piper) and Shannen Daugherty (Prue) were her co-stars, but the latter actress left in 2001, thus changing the dynamics of the series. The show later added Rose McGowan (Paige) as the half-sister to complete "the power of three."
