Neglected Dogs Caused the Suspension of a Mail-Delivery Service and Seriously Injured a Man

Dogs are men's best friends and one of the most loyal pets that humans can have. However, once neglected, these dogs may be harmful to humans once they became strayed and hungry.

A report said that Canada Post has stopped delivering mail to a neighborhood on Howard Avenue and Lillian Street. A resident allows its three huge dogs to roam around the neighborhood unleashed.

According to Windsor Start, 91 homes in 1300 to 1400 blocks on the said neighborhood have not been receiving their mail since Feb. 8. Residents must go to the downtown post office on Ouellette Avenue to pick up their mail.

"It's pretty upsetting," said Martin Amdur, an affected resident. "It has been three weeks now and the person thinks his dogs' freedom is more important than 91 households' mail."

Valerie Critchley, licensing commissioner at City of Windsor said that the dogs' owner has to pay three $645 charges for allowing his three huge dogs to roam off private properties unleashed if a complaint is upheld in court.

John Caines, Canada Post spokesperson stated that the safety of their employees is their priority. The dogs' owner has been contacted and asked to provide a signed letter to assure that his dogs will be kept.

Meanwhile, a man from Westerham, Kent in London was taken to hospital after being attacked by a pack of bullmastiff dogs. The victim is in a serious condition, according to BT.

Firearms officers responded after a call was made reporting that a man had been attacked by dogs. Total of five dogs have been safely removed from the property and now on police care. No reports were made regarding the owner the dogs.

With proper care, dogs will not be this dangerous. All they need is a good shelter, love and protection. Stray dogs can also be harmed by humans when roaming.
