"Tekken 7" is among the most anticipated video games at the time. Many fans are dying to get their hands on the next iteration of "Tekken." Unfortunately, Bandai Namco remains mum as to when the title will arrive.
Despite the development team's silence, "Tekken 7" continues to make headlines due to the anticipation of fans and gamers. Here's the latest scoop we have about the game.
According to SegmentNext, Michael Murray, Bandai Namco Entertainment game designer shared his thoughts about the upcoming "Tekken 7" VR and cleared some of the assumptions about it.
"When we announced that we're going to do something with virtual reality, people were like 'oh, so you're going to be playing in first person and hitting each other?" he said. "That sounds like crap! There was a hidden command in Tekken 2 [where you could play in first person] that was cool in itself but you wouldn't want to do that for your whole Tekken fix, right? So probably not that. People like Tekken the way that it is as far as the core gameplay."
He debunked the rumors about the "Tekken 2" Cheat Mode where users can play similar to that of the first-person fighting mode in the PlayStatioN VR. However, he hinted that "Tekken" is about the characters.
He explained that it would include a vast feature to customize the characters. They have cool techniques that go with motion captures to make the experience more fun and enjoyable.
In a recent report from SegmentNext, Murray teased fans that the game has been unpredictable. However, "Tekken 7" presents a different delight. "If madness is doing the same thing over and over again, this revamp is - in the craziest twist of all - the sanest game of 2016," he said.
Many want to know when "Tekken 7" will be released. It was available in arcade last year but there was no progress as to when it will be out for PS4 and Xbox One.
According to CrossMap, there are reports claiming that "Tekken 7" will be released in the second or third quarter of this year.
