For sure, several gamers are looking forward to get their hands on the next iteration of "Half Life." But, are there chances for "Half Life 3" to see the light of day anytime soon?
Parent Herald previously reported that "Half Life 3" came to life again after the "Dota 2" update. Many found a file named "hl3.txt" in the text files, which many believed pertained to "Half Life 3." However, no one from Valve confirmed about the game.
In a separate report from Parent Herald, Valve co-founder Gabe Newell denied that the title is in production. He said that he was surprised at how excited the gamers are for the next iteration. Unfortunately, the game is not in the works and will not be available anytime soon.
"Half Life 3" has been always around the corner, unconfirmed and unofficial. Many fans have been waiting for the said game until some have lost their interest due to the long and continuous waiting.
According to NSEAVOICE, just last month, "Half Life 3" was spotted in the upcoming games on Steam. The said discovery sparked the hope among fans that their favorite game was coming. Unfortunately, the joy was short-lived because Valve removed the game from the list without any word.
Per the report, it was not the first time that "Half Life" appeared and was removed on Steam. Hence, the waiting continues.
However, "Half Life 3" fans should not be disheartened because new reports suggest that the game is in the works.
According to Christian Today, Valve and Steam are working with HTC for the HTC Vive Pre gaming device. There rumors that HTC will produce a number of VR ready games in the coming years, and lo and behold, one of these games is "Half Life 3." Thus, if this is true the game will arrive with full support for VR.
However, this seems to be a big change. In an earlier report from Parent Herald, Valve writer Chet Faliszek announced that the title is not part of the VR Headset project.
After the denial and lack of confirmation about "Half Life 3" are you still hopeful that the title is in the works and will be an available soon? Share your thoughts below.
