"Star Wars" enthusiasts are now looking forward to the upcoming "Star Wars: Rogue One," which will be the first installment of the coming film anthology. The epic space opera movie offers a different kind of twist to the franchise as it features new stormtroopers, heroes and a lot more.
As early as now, "Star Wars: Rouge One" is already named to be the darkest film from the movie series. In fact, the motion picture now has a black stormtrooper that is led by Darth Vader.
In an annual shareholders meeting on March 3, Disney revealed a clip from "Star Wars: Rouge One," per Slash Film. Disney unveiled the dark stormtrooper, which might be called Death Troopers. These new stormtroopers have the same looks with the White Troopers but with full chrome armor.
Disney's video showed Felicity inside a ship or a shuttle while her arms were held up an open hatch or ramp behind her. Metro News said that the clip illustrated the "dark times, before the Empire."
The excerpt began with total darkness then slowly showed the "green landscape of a planet." It was followed by a shutdown and screams were heard in the background before the title, "Star Wars: Rouge One," appeared on the screen.
Meanwhile, the director of "Star Wars: Rouge One" Gareth Edwards confirmed that the film will be a war movie. With this twist in theme, the 41-year-old filmmaker aims to make "Star Wars: Rogue One" to be different from the usual "Star Wars" movies, according to Movie Pilot.
Additionally, "Star Wars: Rouge One" will feature Darth Vader as the main antagonist. In fact, his addition to the new "Star Wars" movie will be one of the highlights of the film as he is one of the key roles that will be seen in the battleground. "Star Wars: Rouge One" is set to be released on December 16, 2016.
