Tim Burton's movie adaptation of "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" will hit theaters on Sept. 30 of this year. The Rigg's 2011 novel was inspired by vintage photographs that the author collected at flea markets, which he included in the book. The photographs not only enticed the readers but it inspired the Tim Burton as well.

They're quite compelling," Tim Burton, the film's director said. "They remind me of old horror movies, or dreams."

"Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" hosts the most compelling characters, which Tim Burton manages to deliver. One of which is the Penny Dreadful actress, Eva Green, who portrays the role of the orphanage's magical guardian, Miss Peregrine. Tim Burton describes her as a "scary Mary Poppins." Burton then added that Miss Peregrine has the capability to shape-shift as she can turn into a bird.

Aside from Miss Peregrine's character, Tim Burton also dished out some details regarding the film's location. "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" was shot in several locations including Cornwall, Belgium and Florida.

"It was nice to shoot on location," said Tim Burton. "To be connected to a place and geography while having people actually floating, as opposed to doing it all digitally."

Though Tim Burton can perfectly deliver a dark film such as "SweeneyTodd," "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and "Beetlejuice," Movie Fone reports that he still receives a few backlashes for making revisions in some of the characters. Though fans noticed some major changes on some of the characters' wardrobes, "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children's" author took Burton's side stating that "All will be well."
