Fans of the long-running classic science-fiction series "Doctor Who" are now waiting for its next installment. Peter Capaldi reveals that "Doctor Who" is about to start its production "very soon," but that's the only thing he can say for now.
"It's going to start very soon," Peter Capaldi said about "Doctor Who," according to Digital Spy. However, the 57-year-old actor added that he is not allowed to spill the exact day of the filming as everybody knows that "Doctor Who" is "veiled in secrecy always."
Meanwhile, it is a puzzle if Peter Capaldi will be staying in "Doctor Who" as the show's creator Steven Moffat has left the project. In fact, Radio Times reveals that BBC asked Peter Capaldi if he's going to continue playing as The Doctor in "Doctor Who"
However, Peter Capaldi is not yet sure if he's going to take the offer for "Doctor Who" or not. In fact, he said that it will take him a long time to answer that question.
"I don't know where the show's gonna go then. I don't know. I have to make up my mind, and I haven't yet," he said. He also described Steven Moffat as a very wonderful person whom he love to work the most in "Doctor Who," but he also found Chris Chibnall as a fantastic and talented guy.
Moreover, Peter Capaldi explained to Digital Spy that he would definitely have a hard time leaving "Doctor Who" just like what Steven Moffat felt. Evidently, he only has the kindest words for the former "Doctor Who" writer as he said, "Steven Moffat is an extraordinary writer -- and extraordinary creative person."
Also, Peter Capaldi praised all of their staff and crew in Cardiff, who he described as amazing people. "Doctor Who" will start filming for the "Doctor Who" 2016 Christmas special. Production for the next season will follow.
