After a long wait, "No Man's Sky" project's lead programmer Sean Murray revealed the exact release date of the much-anticipated video game. In an interview, he said that the title is coming in June this year but it won't feature the VR support.
Game enthusiasts waited for "No Man's Sky" for quite awhile as its launch date was often moved. Fortunately, it was no confirmed if the space-travel-themed title will be out on June 21 in North America while it will be available in Europe on June 24, according to Game Rant.
However, Sean Murray also disclosed that "No Man's Sky" will not carry the virtual reality everyone expects. He explained that he and his team have a hard time to meet their deadlines and it is not possible to launch the game in VR with just a small team working.
While many are looking forward that "No Man's Sky" and PlayStation VR are going to work together, it won't happen as of the moment, but maybe in the future. "I think 'No Man's Sky' would be a really exciting title for VR. I think it would be cool," Sean Murray said.
Meanwhile, the Murray and his team at Hello Games have nothing but a positive outlook in the launch of "No Man's Sky" as they are now expecting player's feedback, Design & Trend reported. One of the essential responses they are anticipating is the frequent "request and denial" for any kind of multiplayer mode.
Sean Murray said that they just have to wait what the gamers wanted to be developed in the game after "No Man's Sky's" debut. "When we launch, we want people to see what we have in mind, which is exploring," he added.
Aside from traveling around the universe of "No Man's Sky" together with the players, people behind the game are desiring to "push people further apart" to experience the difference of the title's concept.
