American pop superstar and actress Lady Gaga recently revealed surprising details about her upcoming wedding with actor Taylor Kinney. She shared that she lets her mom Cindy to take the driving seat and organize the big day with their female relatives.
"I think if I wouldn't let my mom do this with all of us and my family—I think if I would have denied the women of my life the planning of the wedding they would probably kill me," the 29-year-old singer-songwriter jokingly told Ryan Seacrest in an iHeart Radio interview, as reported by E! Online. "I have all the help in the world in a way!"
The "Poker Face" hitmaker, who got engaged to 34-year-old Kinney in February last year, refused to share further details about her big day, however, she emphasized that she is not doing anything over-the-top. She said she wants the special day to be a real "family-style" wedding. "We are not planning anything that is worth writing about," she joked.
Gaga told WWD last year that her wedding dress will not be a high-fashion statement piece. She disclosed that her wedding dress will be completely for her fiancé.
"It will be totally for Taylor," she said in the interview. "It's all about my man. I haven't really thought about anything specific yet, but whatever it is, it will be totally for him."
Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, has 75 percent Italian descent with French Canadian ancestry. Recent reports claimed that the couple will be tying the knot in Italy to embrace Gaga's Italian roots.
"She wants to celebrate her heritage, so they're looking at places in the Italian countryside. She wants a big Italian wedding," a source told Page Six. "They're still enjoying their engagement, so they have to figure out the right time to do it. They're not fully planning yet."
On the other hand, Kinney, known for his role as Lt. Kelly Severide in the TV series "Chicago Fire," shared to the Daily Mail last January that the date of their wedding was not yet finalized. "We keep on, back and forth on dates, and I think it'll just be a surprise," he shared.
