There are rumors that Daniel Craig is about to leave his iconic role as James Bond in the movie series adaptation of Ian Fleming's novels. Hence, there are a lot of actors who have expressed their interest to be the next British Secret Service agent one of them is Tom Hiddleston.
In a recent interview with The Sunday Times, Tom Hiddleston revealed that he will love to be the new James Bond if there's an opportunity. "I simply love the theme tune, the tropes and the mythology. I love the whole thing," Tom Hiddleston said.
"If it ever came knocking, it would be an extraordinary opportunity. And I'm very aware of the physicality of the job. I would not take it lightly," the 35-year-old actor continued. In fact, he really loved the "James Bond" series he even shared that he sneaked from the set while filming "Kong: Skull Island" in Hawaii to watch "Spectre," Movie Web reported.
Moreover, Tom Hiddleston is actually one of the actors who are being considered to play as the new James Bond. His new role in the American-British television series "The Night Manager," which is now airing in the U.K. and will launch in the U.S. next month on AMC, helps him to prove that he's qualified for the role.
Tom Hiddleston also plays as an intelligent agent in the mini-series based on the hit spy novels of John le Carré, The Guardian notes. Meanwhile, if Daniel Craig is indeed going to say goodbye to his James Bond role, then "Spectre" is his final take on the legendary character.
However, Sam Mendes evidently did his best to give justice to the role of Daniel Craig, from the husband of Rachel Weisz's first "James Bond" movie in 2006 "Casino Royale" to 2012's "Skyfall" and his swansong, "Spectre."
