'Scream' Series News & Update: Know the Real Plot of the Story

The "Scream" movie series is still one of the best classic horror films that has dominated the mystery and crime genre. Now, fans can relive the real plot of "Scream."

According to Blumhouse, "Scream" was a creation of the late horror maestro Wes Craven and was originally introduced in 1996. Since then, "Scream" impressed movie enthusiasts for having a different kind of twist and dark sense of humor. "Scream" has also set its reputation for revealing the modern culture of teenagers, who are more inclined to follow the movies they watch.

"Scream" revolves its story in "slut-shaming." The killings happening in "Scream," especially in the original trilogy, starts when immorality is happening, just like what happened with Maureen Prescott. The main antagonist, Billy Loomis, is not just the typical killer a horror movie can have. In fact, he's an epitome of what a crazy guy, who kill girls for "being slutty," can be, per Movie Pilot .

Additionally, "Scream" started the era of being consciously aware of its type amidst the emerging multiple genre movies that time. Hence, "Scream" continuously getting acclaim for its creative work and self-referential.

Evidently, Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson, "Scream's" screenwriters, were later replaced by Ehren Krueger, who worked hard to deliver a story with a very strange topic. But in spite of perfectly conversing "Scream's" theme thoroughly in the original trilogy, it has been disregarded because of the constant debate of the series' "self-awareness."

Hence, "Scream's" story is not really about the movie itself, but it's telling the story of the characters who are influenced by watching other movies.
