"Honestly, I'm just particular with this record," Britney Spears told John Norris. "It's my baby, and so I really want it done right. I would much rather have it be completely how I want it to be, whether that takes another year for me to do, or two months. I have no idea at this point. But I just know that the direction I'm going in is so good. It's the best thing I've done in a long time."
In addition to her album's details, Britney Spears stated that her "B9" album is something different as she took her time to have it accomplished. The "Crazy" singer then cited that her new album would be something that her fans would look forward to.
"I'm proud of the work, and it's very different; it's not what you would think at all," Spears described her new album. "But I'm not rushing anything. I just want it to be done right, so that my fans will truly appreciate it."
Britney Spears first announced her new album's release during an interview with Billboard, per Digital Spy. Though the album's release date isn't specifically announced yet, it is something that fans should look forward to within this year.
"I'm gonna do a new album slowly but surely," Britney said. "There's a lot going on with my kids and schools and, you know, adding new sports and stuff like that. I'm gonna try to do my best to do an amazing album, but it's not my full priority right now.
