The three daughters of a mother battling with cancer for four years decided to get married a day before their mom's passing, according to ABC News.
Becky Swales was first diagnosed with breast cancer four years ago but her doctors recently confirmed that she only has a few days to live. Her daughters, Jodie, Sarah and Kaylee Swales all agreed to get married on the same day to fulfill their mom's dream of seeing all of them walk down the aisle and settle down with their partners.
The Swales family who is from Snellville Georgia received help from their local community in raising some money so they could all have their wedding on the same day. Each of the three daughters walked down the aisle with their father while their mother sat in the front row watching them.
Jodie Swales expressed her happiness but also said that their wedding day was definitely "bittersweet", according to USA Today. "We are happy that she's here, but this will probably be the last big thing that we do with her," she said. Jodie also posted a status on her Facebook account saying: "She was the most beautiful person I knew, and I bet she is the most beautiful angel."
"I know she's watching me and my family and I'm gonna give her a life that she'd be proud to watch," wrote Jodie Swales. "Thank you God for letting her be here for the wedding yesterday. I love you bigga bunches mommy. R.I.P", she wrote. Becky Swales passed away on Monday morning at the age of 43. The three daughter's wedding reception will still be held on October 26 as they originally planned, at a venue that was also donated to them by friends from their community.
