Oprah Winfrey's weight loss efforts are paying off. The 62-year-old TV icon, who joined Weight Watchers in 2015, showed off her current progress by gracing the cover of O Magazine, along with nine other female non-celebrities.
The stories about their weight loss journey will be published in the magazine's April issue. Oprah herself claimed she already lost 26 pounds after enlisting in a weight loss program in October. She eventually became Weight Watcher's spokesperson and part owner after being convinced that it will help her with her weight loss goals.
"This month I join forces with a legion of women, all of us declaring a win-win for our bodies and ourselves," she said about the magazine feature, per People. "Because I know this for sure: With age comes the understanding and appreciation of your most important asset, your health."
Winfrey is pictured in the magazine wearing a tight fitting Diane Von Furstenberg dress to show off her curvy body. She also has another photo where she's wearing a Michael Kors black ensemble with white and red stripes on the skirt, per E! Online.
The media mogul reveals that she has no more desire to be thin. She only wants to feel good about her body, which she's already achieving in the program. "I feel vibrant and charged up for all the great ventures and adventures I know are coming," Winfrey said.
Some of the women featured in the magazine expressed elation for being a part of the story with the iconic TV host. "I just started crying. I could not pull it together," said Michelle Trotter from New Jersey when she met Winfrey, per New York Daily Life. They were unware that a superstar was joining them for the photo shoot in the studio in New York last January.
"We have some baggage to get rid of, my new friends and I, and we're going to do it together," concluded Winfrey as she wrote in the feature. "Meet them now, and stay tuned as we set forth on the road to better health and a lighter, brighter day."
