2. Lettuce

The top diet-friendly food is lettuce that contains 60 to 70 calories per pound. Lettuce such as the Romaine is also rich in vitamin B, manganese and folic acid. These can make the immune system function and regulate the blood sugar. The lettuce with purple and dark green varieties contains many nutrients too.


3. Broccoli

A serving of raw broccoli contains 30 calories and cooked broccoli has 54 calories. Broccoli is a great choice for diet because it is low in calories. It also contains fiber and essential nutrients. It has phytochemicals that break down fats that help in weight loss.

4. Cabbage

Cabbage just like broccoli is low in fats too. It's one of the powerful veggies the dieters eat to lose weight. It is also rich in Vitamin C, potassium, fiber and other nutrients.

5. Cauliflower
