'The Division' News & Updates: Game Breaks Ubisoft Sales Records

According to publisher Ubisoft, "Tom Clancy's The Division" has already beat each of the company's other day-one sales records for both digital and retail units sold.

Ubisoft also claims that they have launched three of the four most successful new game titles in the industry. The others games are "Destiny", "Assassin's Creed" and "Watch Dogs".

According to Forbes, Ubisoft's Co-Founder and CEO Yves Guillemot declared that the launch of "Tom Clancy's The Division" is a great achievement for the game developer studio. Its success demonstrates Ubisoft's capacity to create amazing new games that become entertainment blockbusters. Guillemot added that this marks the enduring engagement of millions of players in the game world of "The Division".

Ubisoft's announcement about the day-one sales records for "Tom Clancy's The Division" game title has come without numbers. This makes it difficult for market experts in the game industry to make any comparisons or analysis.

"The Division" gameplay is set in a post-apocalyptic world. A modified smallpox virus has being seeded throughout New York during the Black Friday. Manhattan has become a garbage-strewn mess. In order to stop the epidemic, the neighborhood is shut down and cut off from the outside world.

The Division is a last resort cell of highly-trained secret agents ready to interfere in worst-case scenarios. According to Empire Online, the gunplay in the game is excellent, with each weapon having its own district feel. Players can set character attributes such as talents and skills, perks and mods. This makes "The Division" a highly tactical game.

One of the game's major attractions is the recreation of New York and its amazing attention to detail. Even if players can't enter every building, the buildings they can enter further enhance the realism of the setting

Most of the possible missions in "Tom Clancy's The Division" have players focusing on restoring services and order to New York by gaining ground against rioters and looters.
