"Game Of Thrones" Season 6 has been keeping "GoT" followers busy with Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) revelations and other teases and hints. Once the penny drops for the cliffhangers, however, will "Game Of Thrones" Season 6 continue strong?
Carter Matte points out that "Game Of Thrones" Season 6 can do with yet more improvements as the season progresses. A specific character that reportedly can do with an improvement in "Game Of Thrones" Season 6 is Daenerys Targaryen played by Emilia Clarke. While "Game Of Thrones" Season 6 is expected to lend a big focus on Sansa Stark, "GoT" could also do with a revamp for the world Emilia Clarke is in.
The media outlet suggests that "Game Of Thrones" Season 6 should hopefully lead to Emilia Clarke going beyond her Dothraki setting and finally live out her true purpose. Certainly "Game Of Thrones," through all of its seasons, has managed to keep the role of Emilia Clarke interesting.
However, especially in the more recent episodes, Emilia Clarke seems to be existing in, more or less, filler episodes for Daenerys Targaryen. Those who have been Emilia Clarke fans since "GoT" began would be happy to see Daenerys Targaryen take major strides, if not in "Game Of Thrones Season 6" then maybe soon after. A makeover of sorts to the role to direct Emilia Clarke more firmly into her charater's purpose would be a strong change for Daenerys Targaryen.
In a previous "Game Of Thrones" Season 6 teaser set inside the Hall Of Faces, Emilia Clarke appeared along with the other faces of characters who have died and characters who may, sooner than later, die. As Sophie Turner spoiled in a separate Parent Herald article, "Game Of Thrones" Season 6 will see a lot of deaths except for that of Sansa Stark. What a disappointment "Game Of Thrones" Season 6 would be if all the long-winded build up for Emilia Clarke would simply end with her in the Hall Of Faces.
This is not to say that "Game Of Thrones" Season 6 will not tantalize and entertain as much as the previous seasons of "GoT" have done. Still, more revelations unfolding for Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen could go a long way for "Game Of Thrones Season 6" and "GoT" as a whole.
In the meantime, HBO will bring back Sophie Turner as Sansa Stark, Maisie Williams as Arya Stark, Kit Harington as Jon Snow and - yes - Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen on April 24 in "Game Of Thrones" Season 6.
