Many fans are anticipating for the sixth installment of George RR Martin's popular novel series "A Song of Ice and Fire." The last installment, "A Dance with Dragon" was released last 2011. Thus, it's been four years and counting of waiting for "The Winds of Winter," yet the book remains in the dark.
Martin initially wants "The Winds of Winter" to be out prior to "Game of Thrones" Season 6. The celebrity author told Entertainment Weekly that finishing the book before HBO's hit series is important to him.
In fact, Martin had turned down some interviews and canceled two convention appearances to focus on "The Winds of Winter." Unfortunately, to everyone's horror, "Game of Thrones" still caught up with the book.
Now, most are concerned if "Game of Thrones" Season 6 will spoil the long overdue book, "The Winds of Winter" and it seems that it will.
As MNR Daily puts it, fans are in the dark about what to expect in "Game of Thrones" and "The Winds of Winter" after Jons Snow was betrayed and stabbed to death by the Night's Watch. For those who are dying to learn more, spoilers are on the way.
Per the report, Martin answered some questions on his blog where he announced that "Game of Thrones" Season 6 is coming. One of Martin's avid followers expresses his concerns about how the show can spoil the readers of "The Winds of Winter."
He added that he wanted to watch "Game of Thrones" Season 6 but only after reading "The Winds of Winter" but if Martin assured him that the show will not affect the readers then he will probably watch it. TheXfelipeex did not expect any reply from Martin and ended his inquiry with all praises to Martin's books.
Well, it seems that Martin cares enough to answer back. "There will be spoilers. If I had finished WINDS as planned... I did not, however. It is what it is," the author wrote in his response.
At the time, the release date of "The Winds of Winter" remains unknown. However, there are rumors that the book might arrive at the end of 2016 or early 2017.
