'Avatar 2' Cast & Plot: Neytiri and Jake's Adventures Will Go Beyond Pandora [Rumors]

James Cameron's "Avatar" is a huge hit. It breaks records and is currently the highest-grossing film worldwide. With its victory, much is expected in "Avatar 2."

Although "Avatar 2" is still over a year away, many fans are already talking about the upcoming blockbuster film. Every "Avatar" fan is excited for the next adventure of Neytiri, Jake Sully, and the blue flute clan.

The first film only features the Omaticaya clan and their lives in the tree of souls, but in "Avatar 2" the audiences are set to see a new world in Pandora.

Parent Herald previously reported that "Avatar 2" would feature Pandora's ocean ecosystem. "We're doing 'Avatar' films now, so we're making up an ocean ecosystem for Pandora," Cameron told ComingSoon.net.

The award-winning director admits his inclination to conserving the Earth's oceans. He is also planning to continue on making documentaries and exploration, but with regards to "Avatar 2" and the other two sequels, there is no direct map between deep ocean exploration. He also added that they would not be exploring coral reefs anymore because everyone has a good understanding of it.

"I hope that explains it, 'cause people have connected the dots directly together. 'Oh, going to the challenger deep has a direct connection to what we're going to see in Avatar 2,' and that's not the case at all," Cameron said.

"It's all the scuba diving I did before I even started the deep ocean stuff that has more of a direct connection to Avatar 2 & 3, which by the way won't take place completely in or under the water. That's just part of the environment of Pandora that we're going to see."

Who will be going underwater?

Well, according to DigitalSpy, Cameron teased that "Avatar 2" will have a "familial and imprisonment theme." No one know, what the director really means about it. But after several years, Sully will now be the tribal chief and Neytiri is the tribe's priestess.

In "Avatar 2" the couple's journey will not be limited to the tree of souls because they are set to face their next adventures beyond the forest of Pandora. They will be going underwater and in volcanic environments.
