Katharine McPhee became famous during her time on "American Idol" and was even the runner up to the hit singing show. Now, the good girl has gone bad after being caught kissing her "Smash" TV show director who happens to be married.
Not only is director Michael Morris married with three small children, but McPhee is also married although reports have surfaced the couple were already separated when this scandal broke out. TMZ posted the images of him and sexy McPhee enjoying an illicit lip-lock in broad daylight in a Hollywood parking lot.
Page Six reported that Morris' wife and the mother of their three children, Mary McCormack, has officially kicked him out of their shared Los Angeles home on Saturday.
Meanwhile friends of McPhee's say she only learned of the pics when they hit the Web on Monday. "Katharine didn't know about the photos in advance," said a source close to the actress. "She only saw them on Monday when they were emailed to her."
"Mary threw Michael out of the house on Sunday night when he told her that TMZ had the photos and that they were about to be released," said an insider.
Experts are saying this may not actually affect Katherine McPhee's career.
"This probably won't affect Katharine McPhee's sales or her ability to get roles in the near future but her likability factor will be seriously tarnished," said Jamie Krauss - PR Director at the Narrative Group, according to FOX411. "When female stars act as home wreckers, the American public, but particularly women, tend to sour to them very fast. Look at Kristen Stewart or Leann Rimes or even Angelina Jolie. All of them took a lot of heat for their famous affairs."
