Are Kate Middleton and Prince William losing their charm to please the British media? Well, it seems so after the press reportedly criticized the royal couple for their "lavish lifestyle" and uncommitted public royal engagements.
Kate Middleton and Prince William are considered as one of the most popular royal couple in the world, not to mention one of the most followed. While they are often received with warm welcome and cheers, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are currently in a middle of a nasty royal scandal.
As a matter of fact, Prince William has been slammed by several British media outlets because of his fewer public appearances, lesser workload and charitable engagements last year compared to Prince Philip, his 94-year-old grandfather, Aol.com reported.
Prince William's wife Kate Middleton, on the other hand, also faced her own set of criticisms. In fact, the 34-year-old Duchess was castigated because the ski gloves she used during their French Alps vacation were reportedly similar on the ones found on the Alexski website that are lined with possum fur, Celeb Dirty Laundry noted.
"If the gloves are indeed made of real fur, we'll be contacting Kate, who we imagine is unaware that opossums killed for their fur are often caught in bone-crushing steel-jaw traps," PETA's U.K. director Mimi Bekhechi exclusively told Gossip Cop.
As of late, Duchess Kate and Prince William, who are known as animal conservation advocates, have not yet commented on the fur debacle.
Meanwhile, the accusations of laziness and having over-the-top lifestyle while dodging their royal responsibilities seemed to have been causing some headaches to Kate Middleton and Prince William. And while they have constantly caught the attention of global media for the last six years, the recent scandal might dimmed their popularity, not to mention that their Swedish counterparts have also become more popular among royal fans.
Do you think Kate Middleton and Prince William are neglecting their royal duties?
